CHATEAU LA FLEUR DE GAY
This is, in effect, the reserve wine of Château La Croix de Gay, made of 100% Merlot, from their oldest vines. It was first produced in 1982, and early vintages contained a small amount of Cabernet Franc. The vines themselves are around 50 years of age and planted in a small, 3-hectare portion of La Croix de Gay. Production is very small, with only around 7,000 bottles a year being made of this opulent and expressive wine.
